Karate Gear / Attire

In general, all students are expected to train in full karate suit, and should also bring sparring mitts and a gumshield to every class. Students on one of our beginner courses are exempt from this rule. For more information on equipment see the Karate Equipment page.

Drop-In Students

Karate student’s who train in USKFI affiliated dojos are welcome to drop in for training. Please makes sure to notify your own instructor of your intention to join us for a class.

Students who train in non USKFI dojos cannot drop-in without prior agreement from our instructor. Please get in touch at least 3 days in advance so that we can process and deal with your request. It helps if your own dojo practices the Shotokan style, but this is not a condition of entry to a class. We have limited places, so we cannot always accommodate drop-ins.

Get in touch by sending a Private Message on our Facebook page.

Beginners

New students can only train as part of a beginners course. We hold beginner courses at regular intervals throughout the year. For more information see our Beginner page.
