Students are now being selected for the grading event in April. The following criteria are required to be eligible for selection:
- Student must be training regular, twice a week
- Student must know their grading kata and be able to perform the kata from beginning to end
- Student must be able to perform their kihon (basic techniques) and partner work exercises
- Student must show good attitude in class
- Student must be a paid up member of USKFI – USKFI Membership Page
Students selected for grading will be given a grading form. The student must then return the following to Sensei Sherlock at the earliest opportunity.
- The completed grading form
- The grading fee (the usual fee for the class before a grading is also covered by the grading fee)
- License book
Please note if you are unable to make the April event, our Sister Club in Newbride is holding a grading event on 22nd of April – 1.30 to 4.30pm. If you would like to attend the Newbridge grading you must discuss and clear it with Sensei Sherlock well in advance.
White Belts
Depending on when a grading is held, white belts mat not have a USKFI license book. If this is the case they will be give one at their first grading.
Parents of white belts might like to purchaser an orange belt ahead of the grading in order to present it to successful candidates on the day.
